while i agree that people should just by the music, the artist gets little over 10% of the sells of the cds or stuff from itunes, the record label gets most of it. so thats not why the music industry is goin to shit its just because people are to lazy to use creativity, the same stuff is happenin with movies.

@JoeDP25 you've hit it straight on man. i've seen so many good rock band die after two lp's worth of not selling any records. their only choice is to try to hook up with the jam crowd and that's not easy because they're only into the grateful dead or phish. the rock bands needs an online meeting place or something. bands need to stop spending so much time and money in the recording studio too; there's simply no need when people are listning to ipods and mp3's.

I write for KNAC.com in Los Angeles. Fucking love this band! Rival Sons are all the familiar vintage soulful sounds I miss like Foghat and Uriah Heep. It's just rock n roll and played very well. All the tunes on this CD are really short 3:00 and under but really packed like ZZ Top or Foreigner, clever clever. The mix is a little rude like a Jack White record but that makes it kinda cool! Look for great things to come from these guys.

@JoeDP25 stupid little boy bands, autotune, new pop artists etc are killing the industry. Was at a Black Stone Cherry gig yesterday and he asked who downloaded their latest album illegally and who bought it. He said this who admitted to downloading it illegally: "I dont give a fuck man, because youre here supporting us right now and you're listening to our music and spreading the word"

@JoeDP25 the industry is run by greedy corporate business men who have no care for artistic merit, only how much money can be made. 99p for a download is a rip off! And the artist sees hardly any of the money. downloads should be much cheaper than that...or free as you can’t see or hold them, they're just lifeless data stored on a computer or mp3 player. Gone are the days when record company owners like Tony Wilson were pushing the right music in the direction of the people Love to everyone
