Am I the only one who nearly dies when Matt's voice cracks at 2:04? During the line, "But I'm the cusack on the lawn." Or maybe his voice doesn't crack. Whatever it is, I like it. Hahahaa. XD

Man, took a few years after the release of this album, but it finally applies to me. I'm not happy about it, but I am. It makes everything that hurts feel alright, like it's supposed to hurt. It's still a pain, and it's sharp, but at least I feel like I'm going somewhere.

My gf and I decided to end things tonight.. My actions of conceitedness and insecurities led to our division. What I get from this, is precaution for the future. @TheSignatureK Well they actually spent a few years on a more popular label and they got deals with MTV and everything. That was like 7 years ago though when I was 12 :P [which explains the popularity of Be My Escape, considering that song made it on the top charts] After their 5th album, I think the band made the decision to chill out and they changed managers and labels because they didn't like the road they were being sent down.

Many wouldn't call this their greatest album as the music is somewhat different from before, and lots of people do not like it. I like it all. :P

to say that this album is about something as superficial as a "break up" is wrong. this is a time in Matt's life that literally changed him, and this album's music perfectly illustrates that in giving us insight to a brilliant mind that was emotionally turned over for a time. if you listen to the record, you can see it is literally Matt's thought process. From optimistic to the gutter to eventually acceptance; it is a masterful compilation of a man's mind during a life changing experience.
