A tastemaker and archivist, as well as co-proprietor of an outrageous clothing shop where garage rock bands often picked up their natty stage wear, Shaw frequently hosted The Reigning Sound in his home whenever their tours reached Detroit. That were Jim's brother Steve who documented Gories so well back in their day, seen playing bass in this video. Peg from the Gories also seen playing bass here, as well as Jim and Steve's brother Pat playing drums. I had the pleasure of making this video for my dear friends; Jim Shaw & Greg Cartwright. I would also credit Graveyard Jeff and Jim's wife Sandy, and Mike Murphy also on drums. As well as Dan Kroha on guitar. Countless musicians loved Jim! Can't forget Uncle Jessie.
