Spectacular Brian Davison RIP on drums, Emerson said he loved his playing here. They should have made more records

This must be be the only live footage of refugee - I saw them in 74 at Liverpool Polytechnic - they did one album and one tour and then Moraz joined Yes for more money and did one album and one tour again - He doesn't seem to be very loyal to his colleagues.

Yes it think it was terrible for Lee and especially Brian - his drumming is the best here, bloody Wakeman buggering off, buggered it all up, why the hell did'nt they recruit  that lazy nut  Vangelis and let this band cook...... bloody Yes, breaking up this partnership to record a second rate Mahavishnu record, only for Moraz to get sun stroke,?

I agree with our friend JM   we should have had more Refugee  they had something going   ---  Relayer was an excellent album a comeback for Yes in many ways but I wanted more Refugee

It's a shame Wakeman left Yes. If he had stayed, we could have had more Refugee.

It appears to be the only live record of the outstanding band

Damn they play with balls! Just goes to show how powerful the organ/synth rig can be and how it can hold tight to the low end of Bass strings. The expression 'wimpy keyboards' does NOT apply here!

Agreed. Jackson Heights was a great band especially in it's second incarnation.

Yeah, but their styles are so different from one another it's hard to make a comparison. Moraz always reminded me more of Rick Wakeman rather than Keith Emerson. Apparently Emerson did not like Moraz and refused to let Brian and Lee call this band the Nice, although that name seems like it would have been unfashionable in the mid-70's. Personally I liked the work Jackson was doing with his band Jackson Heights, especially on their last album, "Bump and Grind" from 1973.

Great great band. I think Patrick is at least as good as Emerson.

It's a shame there is little film footage of this band. They were the first band i saw at Newcastle City Hall. An album was released a few years ago of the very same concert. A privilege to be there.

Nice, were did you find this movie?

It's better than "Nice" but not like "ELP". Moraz mini moog sound remind me "sound chaser".
