Rap music is a business. These guys have to m̶a̶k̶e̶ get money (pun intended) in order to stay in business. If these types of tracks keep them in biz, then that's what it is. If Rae's not in biz, no more stuff like Only Built for Cuban Linx II. I think it's a compromise: you sell what the market wants (or, what you think it wants) in order to stay in business, but you also sell the product for which you're known and respected (even if that product doesn't sell as well). Remember: like their government, people get the music they deserve. Most artists will give the people what they want. Unless, they're one of the select few super moneyed artists who can put out whatever they want, w/o regard to market demand.
