Have just gotten turned on to the Painters and I must say I'm pretty excited about going back and collecting all their stuff. Dude is obviously super talented. I must say, however, that it sounds like he may have lifted this cut off of Mazzy Star. Maybe not totally, but it's awfully dang close. No problems though - look forward to listening to all their stuff from the 90s. Those who like the RHP need to try Sparklehorse - more lo-fi than these guys, but similar kind of music in my opinion.
