This song will always remind me of the Northridge Earthquake in Los Angeles. It was brutal. My folks had to rebuild her house. My brothers apartment was tagged an unlivable...and he had just been in the San Francisco earthquake in 1989. Our walls cracked. Our poor cat was totally freaked. My husband put lamb in the oven and opened some champagne and fed the neighbors whose water pipes broke. We drank champagne and everytime there was a nasty aftershock, we pretended we were earth-surfing. It sounds funny now. and after the champagne we calmed down. But when it was happening we thought AMTRAK was coming through our bedroom and hallway and we were going to die. And this song all through the next day was being played over and over with the footage with the news of the damage.
