Truly one of the greatest songs sung by one of the greatest voices ever. Those who can't appreciate this, I feel truly bad for you. I'm a rock and roller and old country boy from way back, but this song just hits so many emotions. I guess going through loss will do that.

My mom's favorite song.... ;') She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer on Mother's Day 2013 and passed on June 26, 2013. She had celebrated her 81st birthday 4 days before with all of her children by her side... her birthday wish. The Great Ray Price passed in the same year....

I remember hearing this song playing on an old jukebox in dozens of smoky old country music bars,American Legions,VFW's that we played in, up in the Adirondack Mountains of New York.Those mountain people sure were country lovers.

One of my Momma's favorite song, I know why I love sad songs, I can shut my eyes and see her ironing clothes in the living room, swaying and singing to the music, she had that yellow dress with flowers that I loved on her. My sister and I playing Jacks on the porch! Memories for the truly good times! This was 45 years ago!
