man, how can you hate on a band like rancid? i dk like the words to describe it but you just get this really inclusive, open arms, inviting feeling when you hear them.. its just really fun, honest, good music. I love it. I love the hardcore punk and d beat and crust punk shit and crossover style/ hard style too and all you know, but those genres dont seem to have that element that rancid has. I think its becuase of them drawing off of the reggae and ska so much, and just like, tims voice is so sympathetic and all. you can hear pain but also strength and hopefullness and optimism in his voice. thats fuckin cool.
