the last two verses of this song are so great."i'd still kill a man for a cigarette, but with friends like you who needs homicide?"i especially appreciate the part that's like "that judge, he doesn't know what he's done. no, judges never know the things they do. how could they?" to me, it appears that the "how could they?" carries a double meaning. in one way, it's an accusation (that fuckin judge doesn't understand the implications of his actions!! how could he do this, it's so fucked!!) and in another sense "how could they?" is a literal question (the judge doesn't know what he's done because seriously.. how could he possibly understand? he doesn't get it and really, how could he?)pat's way with words is glorious... ramshackle glorious.. :P
