its ok. it's the ramones covering the beach boys, so if ya don't approve of it, you suck... but i don't think its great. i don't think the guys were in a great place musically at this time, it just... isn't great. "california sun", "surfin bird", "do you wanna dance", "lets dance", "needles and pins", "spiderman", "i don't wanna grow up", "lil bit o' soul", these were among their GREAT covers. later years:"take it as it comes", "out of time", "7 and 7 is", "palisades park" are among the winners.

By 1966 The Beatles had left the Beach Boys behind. Their only rivals by then were The Doors. By 1967 they had left all bands way behind. The most important thing to understand about The Beatles' music from 1966 onwards is that it is not easy listening. Shallow listening of their music can result in unbelievably stupid comments being posted.

the beatles were quantity- the beach boys were quality. putting the beatles on a ped'stal for getting the most hype is expected from the majority of consumerS that see the shallow surface of mediocrity. the beach boys were the real mccoy- the best of the best.

They were BOTH amazing! The Beach Boys epitomized the golden era of rock and their legacy is above and beyond any other act in history; and the Ramones were the saviors of rock at a time when pop culture was dismal to say the least. EVERY advocate of music whether they collect it or make their own is indebted to these legendary innovators.
