He really is singing live @ 4:10 it is just that he has a backing track, doing the harmony vocals to fatten up the sound! The root not you hear IS him. A shit ton of singers do it.

Man, Jeff Martin is one of my favourite vocalist...EVER. Not many people realise that he is an immaculate drummer! He is seriously on par with the X's drummer!
