Yeah-a lot of those songs were written due to the circumstances of Tim, Brody & Josh, Burn The Witch being a classic example, as well as Little Sister. Go listen to it again now that you know & it will seem like a different album to you ;) Im also a massive fan of all three bands-QOTSA, Rancid & The Distillers (ANYTHING Brody) lol Glad I could shed some light for ya ;) x

Oh wow, I never knew all of that. Thank you for the info. :) I'm a huge, long time fan of QOTSA, and "Lullabies..." is tied for my favorite QOTSA album (with Rated R), so this insight into the backstory of the lyrics really puts it in a different light, in a good way. :)

There was an overlap between Tim & Josh, although she didn't cheat on Tim-they had split, but the divorce wasn't final at the time... If you listen to the album "Lullabies To Paralyze" by QOTSA you'll hear a lot of songs & lyric's that were written as Josh & Brody got together-The album was written during that time, and the lyrics basically tell their story. Its a great album, so give it a listen anyway :P

I adore this woman!!! She is an amazing person & role-model, and personally I love her because any time I've needed advice, she's never once turned her back on me & always tried to help. She is a legend, and exactly what young girls need to look up to these days-Someone who has worked their ass off to get where they are, talented, a great person who is not fame-hungry AT ALL & has never dumbed herself down, or cheapened herself to get where she wanted to go. Why does all of that shit matter? This is a beautiful song, this performance was for a great cause, and Brody and Josh are truly happy together. And, even though I am not well read on the subject, I am pretty sure that Brody and Tim were already divorced before she got together with Josh. Either way, they are a great couple and both make fucking awesome music.

Take the music for what it is and whatever happens between the artist is their business. A person that is known by many, such as celebrities are not above anyone and should not be viewed as such.
