Damn good song. Cold, but true. I haven't used heroin in 7 years now, but i still think of it most every day, in some way. Not like in the beginning, but still.. I never think of it as something that would solve any problems, or make me feel better. It's just the way of the mind trying to fool you. Sure, maybe i'd feel better for 2 hours, but then what? The hell starts all over again. No thank you, i say. I survived that hellhole, and i'm not going to return to it. I hope. You can never be 100%, but i'm 99% sure on this one. As an opiate addict myself that takes anything from 10 hydro tens to a 3/4 of a fentanyl patch a day I really can relate to everything in this song. Luckily heroin is so rare in Wyoming that I have never even seen the stuff. My best friend moved up to Oregon a few years ago. It took him one year to end up living in his car and using a gram and a half a day. He says as much as he wants to quit he can't give it up. Anyone that can actually quit without methadone and stay clean truely are god like.
