While I wouldn't give this a thumbs down, I can understand why someone might. This song has been one of my favourites for years, I love to sing it at auditions, it is so emotionally charged and the words and phrasing are so powerful. That's why I don't really like this guy's version. He undoubtedly has a fabulous voice and technique but, for me, he emphasises the wrong words and phrases at key moments, crucially weakening the build of the song and he pulls back the emotion too soon at the end.

I saw this in NYC a few days ago- IF you have the chance you must go to see this musical. I got to meet him after the musical and he was so nice, the singing is beautiful. The comedy was hilarious-and of course there was the tony winning genie!

It' so Howard Ashman lyrics. This is his color of soul. He always had deep concern for one's inner heart which is tender and soft. I feel so sorry that Howard couldn't contribute fully to ALADDIN.
