First heard this song when I discovered the album in my older brothers LP collection. I think I was 7years old, 1975, 76. I played the whole album and fell in love with it right away. "Scene One" and "Cries From the Midnight Circus" used to scare me when I listened to them at that age but the whole album was like a pacifier during my emotionally troubled childhood. I can listen to "Grass" on any given day, like, 20 times in a row and never get sick of it. The harmonies at the last half make my spirit soar, and I always play "air bass" to it. What a masterpiece album.

I think this somehow is my favourite from the pretties. It could have a success today! How many genres haven't these guys been influential? And still so unknown. Its a crime : )

Having a large collection of music sometimes all i care about is coming across one song by an obscure band. Where The Pretty Things are concerned Grass is that song i pretty much knew this song was something special right from the first few seconds. This song is an obscure piece of great songwriting and the music itself is moving.
