As a church musician who cannot play the organ at all(!) I nonetheless love this. Improvisation on hymn tunes, particularly in a liturgical context (and especially to 'cover the action', is a great skill. Full marks here for this very interesting offering - and yes, there are hints of Copland here!

I've played on this organ. I live in the metroplex. It is a very large organ. Sounded excellent. Unfortunately, some of the pipes were shipped of to Casavant for repairs.

Perhaps it's just me, but I swore I heard references and little 'shout-outs' to Copland's Appalachian Spring. Did anyone else pick up on that?
