Strigoii (same as in the plural as in the singular) are in Romanian mythology, evil souls of the dead, who are believed to go out at night from the grave and would turn into an animal or an appearance phantom to causing bad living. Strigoi means vampire! Not undead! Let's see why (based on romanian legends):- they raise fromt the grave at night and return at dawn;- they can be killed by a stake in the heart;- they don't stand the light of day, any religious objects, etc.They are also some kind of zombie as they must die and be burried before.
