Someone made a comment about Robbie Robertson. The stories that Levon told about growing up near Helena, Arkansas, Robertson took those words that Levon spike and turned them into a song he screwed Levon out of a ton of money when Levon needed it most because of the cancer treatments he nearly lost his home. Levon, Don Imus, and myself all hate him for that to where Levon had to throw rent parties which became the rambles. Levon did two albums after cancer recovery and won a Grammy for both. Robertson had the balls to show up at the hospital during the last three days Levon was alive. Karma will eventually bite him for hurting one of the kindest souls I ever met. Levon was still farming until his death with Little Sammy which was in the midnight rambles band. Sammy could put soul into that harmonica. Levon had some of the best musicians around during the last 10 years of his life....certainly a victory lap for someone we all love dearly.

long live the poor ole dirt farmer that puts food on our table. my grandaddy was a poor ole sharecropper but he always worked for his family and provided all that he could provide. God rest his soul. R.I.P Levon! you always sang it like it was! your legend lives on!
