In 1996 while an undergrad in college, I walked into a progressive rock store not knowing jack about anything new in rock music. I randomly bought this CD among a few others, I was looking for something, I didn't know what. I listened to this LP for weeks straight, this track in particular. It changed my life - I had no idea what kind of a gem I stumbled upon. To this day I have never knowingly met anyone who knows this song or this band, and I've got two degrees in music composition. The world of music is huge, and there's tons of creative stuff all over the place to database your head with. F in A.

Polvo's buzzing bees guitar sound, like to Big Black's signature guitar sound of metallic chimes, and My Bloody Valentine's orchestral dronewash guitar sound, not to mention Sonic Youth - true innovators of new styles/sounds, ways of playing. Just awesome. (yes, I know, they all cribbed off bands before: everything's a remix - go check out old Red Crayola and hear Polvo :) Still. Great band.
