The first time I played through to this point in the game and I realized I was in Vermillion City and that Nintendo had pretty much packed two games into one and gave you a chance to play from where it all started, I said to myself, "...yep. Fan for life now."

Something about this version makes me teary eyed. I know this place wasn't Palette or anything like that, but the music is a little more lax in this version and feels sleepy and like you're visiting a place from years ago once again.I know that was the whole point of Gold and Silver, but this town in particular really got that feeling across.

You know that device thing you could get in soulsiver and heartgold that let you listen to the old, 8 bit themes of the towns? I loved the 8 bit theme of this music, so one night, I was listening to it through earbuds in the passenger seat of a car, and I fell asleep to it (I was 11, 15 now). I woke up to witnessing a head on collision at around 75 mph. I won't ever forget this music, it's ingrained into my mind.

if i had to choose a theme which gives me the most nostalgia, I probably would take the Vermillion City theme. Not only the GSC vesion, but every Vermillion theme. Rby, frlg, gsc, hgss. it's just that awesome

I'm just gonna say it now.RBY was not my first game. GSC was (well, G anyway).This, as well as wanting the Kanto starters and legendaries, convinced me to get Red.I'll admit, music brings back memories, but the good times are ahead of us, not behind us. Just remember that. :)
