I don't care for otep or their female singer. I know a lot about nu metal, I grew up with it, as did i grow up with the punk bands of the 90's early 2000's i don't care for any of it. As for groove metal, I like groove metal, to a certain extent, i really love some of the thrash bands of the 90's who play some groove tracks, Overkill put down a killer groove album

Sounds like you only know the more mainstream nu-metal. I think you'd like Otep. They're a more industrial band. Or I'd recommend you listen to groove metal.

i grew up with nu metal, my brothers played countless nu metal bands, i had to watch kids wearing the gamut of band shirts, and all those white as paper kids spitting rhymes from all the bands. It just does not affect me, i don't like the sound, not necessarily the lyrics, korn has good lyrics, im not interested in the music, that is all. I have listened to it all my life, and don't like it. My tastes are varied, motown, 50's rock n roll, 60-70 rock, metal, other genres

Sounds like you don't know the genre. Believe me. There's a night and day form of the genre. Its very flexible. Describe your tastes.

any nu metal is not my taste, just a personal opinion. I like body counts second album a lot, i think they found their "sound" on it, and ice t has some really chilling lyrics, i like the roughness of it, have not really liked much else from them.

Depends on too nu-metal. The genre is very misled. Body count is so so.

yeah, i dont like that kind of music, i actually am getting warmed up to rap metal, it works on some levels, body count is actually kinda cool. POD is too nu metal for my tastes though

P.O.D's first 2 albums were amazing.

yeah, well anyways, i did not mean to start a comment war, since we are the only ones who have been commenting. Thanks for your feedback, if only POD went in this style we could have had a cool 90's band.

As someone who listened to slayer, I can hear the thrash a little. To be honest, its more like half thrash(groove metal).

yeah, i know crossover thrash, take a peek at my page, i dont listen to slayer. This album is nice, but to each their own, i cannot hear anything about this personally, which it may be in there, but i don't hear it. It sounds like 90's rap/crossover to me

It does, just not the thrash you're thinking of. Its not like Slayer or Metallica, its like Storm Troopers of Death

i realize this, i have listened to this album before, i have no doubt that it is a form of crossover thrash/rap rock, however, like i said, this song does not have sound of any thrash metal at all.

Its thrash. Watch the interviews as well. This song is much more Crossover Thrash/Groove and Rap Metal/Rapcorejust not pure Thrash Metal. Just like Biohazard./watch?v=jTKlTYZ94dI

this song is not thrash at all, the first album has some thrash beats that sounds like a mix of crossover and rap metal. I meant this song, not the album

2:05 Thrash Metal... P.O.D.'s first album was a mix of Thrash and Groove Metal over Nu-Metal and Rap Metal. Reminds me of Biohazard's earlier stuff.
