I lost a lot of admiration for POCO over the years. Their later music seemed to me like it was thrown together. They were always changing members, I just aint into them anymore, but love the older stuff!

The Eagles did more than push formula. They gave us memorable lyrics, particularly Henley. The Eagles gave us "Desperado" and "Hotel California." I love Poco's clean upbeat sound and their musicianship, but they lacked a era defining song that endeared them to the public. That's not an easy thing to do, so give the Eagles credit. There has always been a war between Poco and Eagles fans. The irony is that both bands were big fans of each other.

Poco....the most underrated band EVER...and BETTER than the Eagles any day. Awesome that Richie Furay found the Lord. He has been a minister at a church in Colorado for many years now.

I always found Poco much more authentic than the Eagles. Maybe because Poco was more niche and the Eagles followed the money. Poor Furay never understood that the Eagles were pushing formula and that is why they were so popular. Poco braved it out and gave us some great records, and I thank them for that.

Its too bad that Poco never made it as big as CSNY or the Eagles. Unfortunately, they got that "they are too country for rock radio and too rock for country radio" label put on them. Its also ironic that with each departure from the band the more successful they got.

Thanks for the vid. I love Poco and this song but never saw it live until now. I have every Poco LP and their Nashville live DVD. Early Eagles are also pretty good.
