Chas Smit used to play lead guitar for Plush. He was killed by a drunk driver when attempting to cross a street after a ALCOHOL FREE gig in Pietermaritzburg on September 18th 2005. He hadn't even seen his 24th birthday and he was voted best Guitarist in South Africa for 2005 by ZA.Zone.
