I was also looking at how she is first dressed in white and her future self was dressed in black. I think the overall message of this song/video is the loss of innocence. That's my guess:)

I could be way off but here's a guess. Each balloon(5) represents a memory she is holding on. She loses the 1st on the stairs chasing a girl(maybe an angel or some1 to make her forget). The girl steals the next one, the train, then the woman finally releases one on her own. The orange one must be a memory she just cant let go of and gives it her future self.
