@ZZqezza Oh man, I saw her at The Trocadero in Philadelphia that period and it was so good I had to go see her again at The Academy in NYC later. She was fantastic. I saw her again in '98, again brilliant, but not like this period. I wish I could have seen her one woman show for the White Chalk album. The clips I've seen of that looked just as good.

i third this one. i love all her work but this period of her career is fascinating and inspiring. you can really hear the twisted led belly influende come out here, just so fucking wierd and amazing. my favorite music to listen to hands down.

Yes, not only music - but also image, performances etc., it was all great. I toally adore the vid with live version of Long Snake Moan in witch she's wearing this funny pink costume ;) Although I think that when she doesn't exopse that much the stuff and just concentrate on music (like at White Chalk era) she's still really amazing.

completely agree:-) I personaly love everything about this era - her image, stage performance, b-sides and the passion that you're talking about. I wish I could see her live that time.
