No matter how many times I hear this, whenever I do it's always faster, more intense, more exciting and altogether more powerful than I ever remember! I just LOVE the way she drops a semitone as she holds that long note about half-way through, at 1:06, and the guitar picks up on the same dropped note. And the hemiola rhythm - so effective. Whole song conjures up something like the noise on the beach during the D-Day landings! Bloody great song.

This is a guitar-heavy track. PJ Harvey rocking old-school.

"Dry" is possibly *The* CD masterpiece of the early ninety's. Stylish and Ingenious alternative art. To debut with a track No1 called "O My Lover" is no less than divine intervention in my book. She's amazing and unique, a creative kid wonder. There's really no-one else like Polly Jean Harvey out there. My best regards to all her and all fans, we know who we are.

@iLikeCookie88 So do I. After Rid Of Me (1993) it's PJ Harvey's artistic peak!
