Questo è uno dei pezzi che maggiormente ha cambiato la mia vita... Non so che altro dirvi... So che se scopri questi album nell'età e nel momento giusto e se hai bisogno di trovare un nuovo modo di vedere il mondo, questo tipo di musica dissonante e al tempo stesso immaginifica e ipnotica, può far deflagrare più dello Zabriskie Point... Mai avrei scoperto il jazz, la musica classica, l'opera e tutto il resto, persino il valore di certe "canzonette" pop senza i Pink Floyd e l'esplosione di un piccolo e asfittico mondo come quello della prima adolescenza... Poi certo, la lettura di Nietzsche in contemporanea, o la scoperta di alcune droghe o la ribellione verso una dottrina o un sistema che non riconosci più tuo... Ragazzi, ne è valsa la pena solo per quei giorni furibondi, per quella musica che mandava in frantumi, al rallentatore, un mondo di plastica...

Someone was talking about 'knowing the right notes to play' with this kind of music. But also the truth is that this stuff is so much more subtle, that the trick is the amount of force that is put into each note and the balance between all the other instruments; it differs allot from other kinds of rock n roll. And for that matter, I don't think the Floyd could always do the same thing twice even if they wanted to! It was always different in each version of any song.
