my great-grandmother's maiden name is jaramillo. ruben is a (2nd?) cousin of hers. my abuelita (grandma) told me that she used to get treated badly by some people when they found out she was a jaramillo. now i understand why. proudly working to carry on the jaramillo revolutionary legacy!
