I love the official version, but in my mind this bare bones (i.e. no strings) version is absolutely stunning! They should have just turned up the organ a bit and released it as it is here. Obviously, just my opinion! :-)

Just wonderful. Such a shame that he suffered so much through drugs - a real loss to the music scene. He was at my best friend's wedding at the height of his fame and I remember people asking him to play with the wedding band a four piece middle aged tuxedo dressed foursome. He rightly declined but he was great posing for photos with us.
