“I wrote a song a few years back – ‘I’m Amazing’, which was, in part, inspired by Muhammad Ali’s life and struggles and at the time of his death, when so many people are celebrating his life and thinking about all he achieved, it seemed the right time to release it.” - pg

It’s the first new composition from Peter to be released since the track Show Yourself featured in the film Back to Front – Live in London in 2013.

This is the most exhilarating song I have heard in years. Another masterpiece of sardonic wit of which there are too few in our literature. Lao Tzu says not to praise great things too much, but this is so fun and elegant, it gets me verklempt like those prog rock magic carpet rides of the Seventies. Sweet!

I heard this after Bowie's Blackstar and said to me "Why? So we have to wait till Peter dies to listen to another album?". Up is easely one of the best Gabriel records of all time, is going to be hard to top it

This song should come with a disclaimer that 'NO ELEPHANTS WERE HARMED DURING THE PRODUCTION OF THIS RECORDING'..... (honestly, parts of it sound like elephants being tortured)...lol

Peter is my musical idol, and I like this song, but I would be kind of disappointed if this was the sound of his next album. It wouldnt be misplaced on the up album. All his albums have a very distinct and different sound. Then again, this again shows he's a master in creating sounds. And disappointed is a very big word. I really really really want another gabriel album.

I wish I could find the Arabic lyrics at the end, but not a singe site on the internet has it. Would Peter put more than one language in his songs if we're only meant to sing along with the English parts? It's so lazy that no one can post the whole song including foreign languages. He has always stood for shared and mixed culture and togetherness, yet everyone excludes any lyrics in his songs that aren't English, like only English matters. I don't like not knowing all the words in a song I'm listening to, it makes me feel ignorant.
