" I was just 34 years oldI was still wandering in a hazeI was wondering why everyone I metWas lost in a mazeThe insence burned awayAnd the stench began to riseLovers now estrangedAvoiding catching each other's eyesAnd girls lost their children*For the men that fit the coil*And men not fit for marriage*Took their refuge in the oil*No one respects the flameQuite like the fool whos badly burnedWith all this you must imagineBut there's something that must be learned ...."*( GIRLS THAT LOST THEIR CHILDREN, FOR THE MEN THAT FIT (THE COIL)- THE IUDMen not fit for marriage took their refuge in the oil( it was a saying during those days, that is a man wasn't ready to be married and have a family, he left the country or the land, and went to work on an off shore oil rigg- hey, you learn something new everydaySlit skitsJeanne never wears no slit skitsAnd I don't ever wear no ripped shirtsCAN'T PRETEND THAT GROWING OLD NEVER HURTS

Was this concert called PT w/Deep End Live? I remember listening to a live concert on cassette a bell of a lot around '86. I would have been 16 so I believe this is it. Really great music! Great lineup to &Simon Phillips precision remarkable. I believe Pete at this point was happy musically with this type of backing band (who wouldn't be?), but after reading his memoir he was also doin one fucking load of blow throughout this period.......the halcyon days of being Pete @40yrs old I guess. Great vid & the vocal deletion I cold care less about, if I did then every mid 70's sloppy Who/Zep show wouldn't mean anything @ all to me, but they do!

Why are people bitching about the missed lyrics? Who cares...Believe me, I've been to many Grateful Dead concerts and Jerry Garcia was the King of forgotten lyrics and this dude was on tour with GD most of the year and solo the other part and he still forgot lyrics, but that was part of Jerry's charm...Pete's an ok guy, I don't like his vocals live all that much, but that's my personal opinion....

STFU Peter Ripley. I've seen enough concerts and have also seen huge acts "stumble" a few times and NEVER did it take away from that LIVE experience. Pete "forgets" but the next morning he's STILL PETE...you on the other hand will always be a dweeb.

This is too painful for me to watch because he forgets the lyrics at least twice (maybe more; I could not watch the performance for more than two minutes). It's all the worse that he has this immense backing presence that I think feels his pain when he stumbles. Pete is visibly embarrassed. This is not a good example of how good, how great Pete Townshend is.

I did not expect horns and backup singers. I wish I number one on the home team..just once,,,,,wow what a great song.

Oh boy there for a second David you might have made things harder for Pete, i'm not sure. Just sitting there in your own band n all no need for that huh? Fkin suk Pink Floyd?? ; (

One of Pete's best. Had he desired it, this would have been a great Who song with Roger singing backup vocals. It's fun to watch Gilmour play rock-n-roll.
