This reminds me of when I first started actually getting into music of my own taste. Bands I loved like Verve Pipe, 7Mary3, Live, and Tonic all seem to have vanished from people's memories, but I loved them.

I wouldn't even put "The Freshmen" in TVP's top five songs. At least half of "Pop Smear" is better, and the best songs on Villains are this one, "Reverend Girl" and the (fantastic) "Myself".

I have never heard the cover. I have grown up with the Freshmen. I lived in Grand Rapids when I was younger and my parents played it a lot when I was younger and I had always loved it

pretty good, the freshmen is a good song too, but mustard plug's cover of it is even better in my opinion :)
