Matt is the best drummer they ever had. As he joined the Band in 98 he learned 80 songs in two weeks to play the next tour. And he is the one who stayed the longest time with the Band, 13 years now. Makes much more sense, to live in the present tense!

as a drummer i must say dave aubresse was a more dynamic drummer than everyone else they ve had including krusen,chamberlain,jack irons was terrible and matt cameron is great in soundgarden and good in pearl jam that said watch pearl jam play with dave a....case fucking closed.

@makkfgh24 Totally agree. Dude is metronome solid and he doesn't get too fancy. Stays right in the pocket and lets the rest of the band have some space. Anybody who thinks he's not better than Abbruzzese and Irons needs only listen to every Soundgarden album, on which he plays a COMPLETELY different style than he does in PJ. He takes up way more space musically in Soundgarden. His playing style is PJ is a choice, not a limitation.

@makkfgh24 I just dont like his style. Hes a soundgarden drummer. Abbruzzese made VS. and ten. He fits well with pearl jams newer music after 98.
