I made this as a tribute to Kurt Cobain, one of the greatest musicians of our time. The song I used is Pearl Jam - Immortality. Although Eddie Vedder has never confirmed that Immortality was written about Kurt, the evidence is overwhelming that he was at least an inspiration for it.

I believe this song talks to the pressures faced by not only Kurt but Pearl Jam and every other band once they finally succeed, and the pressures faced by our youth in general. Just read the lyrics in this video! There are so many references to Kurt's death and the details that emerged from that fateful day. (whiskers in the sink, cigar box on the floor, etc.) Not to mention that Eddie changed the lyrics after Kurt's death before it was recorded for Vitalogy. The original lyrics to the song can be heard by listening to a recording of the Orpheum Theater show from Boston which was played right after Kurt's death.

Rest in Peace Kurt.

Anyways this is an incredible song written by the greatest band of my generation. Enjoy!

Seeing that so called suicide letter at the end of the video makes me sick, the same one that was read off by the very very soon to be ex-murdering NO LOVE wife Down town that had him killed before he had a chance to leave her, which in her mind would have ruined her rep and so called career at the time, & left her with nothing. I was born and raised in Seattle and lived just minutes from Mercer island where they had lived and was in the music mix at the time. Just do your research and listen to her recorded phone calls the toxicology reports, the # of mistakes and holes in the original police reports, listening to her get crossed up and flat out lying to the investigator about letters that he had written to her about wanting a divorce and that he was leaving her that they had found, but she thought that they were tucked, and the list goes on also with her trying to offer someone $50,000 to kill Kurt. Anyone can verify all that I just said if they just go on YouTube and look it up; you'll learn that Kurt was NOT suicidal, he was unhappy more or less because he was with that evil plotting witch, that is why he was leaving her with someone that made him feel happy to be around, unfortunately it was someone that him and Courtney both knew.

Losing Kurt is arguably the greatest tragedy in rock history. If you were one of the ones that got to see Nirvana in concert, then you might have seen him totally fucked because I saw it twice back then in the 10 concerts I saw. When I mean fucked up, I mean he sang with a slurred voice, dropped his guitar, lost his balance, walked off the stage etc etc By watching Krist you could tell what shape Kurt was in by the way he tried to cover it up.

This song isn't about Kurt. Vedder said so him self. "Cigar box"? That's where vedder kept cassettes and writing material. Pearl jam played this song live months before Kurt died.

Kurt said he didn't like pearl jam, it drove them to be better, they grew to be friends, in fact there's video proof of Kurt and Eddie dancing behind the curtains of an award show, to me this song perfectly captures the enigma that was Kurt Cobain, his greatest asset was also his greatest demon, some people can handle game and some can't, Kurt couldn't

The letter says nothing about suicide. It talks about his retirement from music because it felt like a mediocre job, almost and he did not enjoy it anymore. It didn't fulfill him. I believe he wrote the letter. But.not the last part.
