I remember staying up late to record this concert on my midi system on cassette... truly stunning. Still have it but also bought it on CDs as I still listen to it on a regular basis. This version of Garden is, as the OP states, the best: pure passion, atmosphere, weight of sound, emotion, raw, etc.
