I think he could use his both hand equally. You can see it in some DT songs for egzample The Dark Eternal Night, he changes his hands in the keyboard part.

Its a nice idea to learn from the greats, like Mangini. But this format doesnt somehow work .. I really want to hear more about what he thinks is important, like what he says at the end, and a more structured framework to what is useful to learn
