I think she should have found antoher label in like '97 or '98, and came back with a Trip Hop, latin house type album, and somewhat ditch the wannabe r&b singer songs, she clearly didnt have vocal talent, and sometimes it was painful to hear her trying to sing. But she was attractive and a great dancer, and this type of song suited her

How did she get an album deal? Is is just the dancing? Her singing voice is awful. Nice video though. Will You Marry Me is a better song vocally.

Musically, I imagine this sound was a bit edgy for a mainstream artist at the time of its release back in 1995. It has a dark, experimental vibe somewhere between sensual and mysterious but those qualities are exactly what gives the song its enticing appeal.

Great memories of this song from summer of 95. I was just a kid but I'll always remember playing this on my Walkman over and over while on a plane flying to Peru with my mom. This song was pretty big there as well. I remember my older cousins who lived there loved Paula as well. ❤ Still an amazing song!
