He's voice is getting older, but the tone have changed minimally since the 60's, but that have to with what songs he sings. Have you noticed that Paul haven't sung "Long Tall Sally" the last 10 or 20 years in concert?

it just kills ya!!! here he is his voice is as good and as able to rock throughout his range as ever. if the Beatles had lasted another 4 or 5 years... well what might have been. But what was was wonderful.. McCartney realized his vision of getting back on the road and had a solid rocking band to put it across... and if you get a chance see the band he is working with today.. Abe Laboriel, Jr. on drums... add him to the story of this band and this music!!!

the real problem with McCartney's voice is you can hear a lot of damage being done in the "screech range" by the time of the 1980 tour you can see that at a certain pitch it becomes a rough screech and it gets worse from there. McCartney proudly boasts of never having done vocal warmups or preparation ever in recording or performing right through the 1990s.. I suspect in the last 10 years or more he has worked with a coach of some kind.. but boy.. he and Lennon REALLY should have back then!
