I'm not sure why Paul does these things. I suppose he is trying to prove that he is more than just an incredible picker. But,..... mostly he is an incredible picker. He's too much of a mad scientist to be a poet or romantic or a blues guy. It falls flat. Just keep wowing us with cool fast stuff Paul.

I hate people who think that a cover has to be played note to note! I don't care if it's not the way Moore played it,it's how PAUL plays it! Gilbert is the greatest guitarist who ever lived as he admitted that he's never played the same thing twice. This goes to show how great a musician he is as he still retained some speed but never lost any emotion in the notes. It's like he's composing a masterpiece without trying. The stubborn grandpas saying he's not Gary need to shut up and realise that he was never trying to be!!!!!

To all of you saying that this should be slower. Look at Gary playing this live. He does fast solo's like Mr. Gilbert. Maybe not as fast, but its still the same. Just relax. Paul did a great job even if his voice isn't as good as Mr. Moore's. R.I.P.

People said exactly the same thing about Gary Moore playing BB king or Peter Green stuff . Hes doing it his own way as any good musician should , hes not a jukebox .

Paul is definitely a great player, fast, technically superior but in my opinion this time he missed the point. The whole song is about dynamics, slow notes and feeling, he is rushing too much.

Sounds flat and germane, everything is spec.with talent...whats missing is the fat laden smoke and booze that made Gary's versions phenomenal...great homage and tribute by RacerX but there are nuances that The Irish Fat Finger accomplished that can't be replicated!
