Amazing how for so long luthiers and guitar designers have been struggling to find that holy grail of guitar - les paul sustain and cut through and strat glassy tone and out of phase signature sound. Along comes PG and takes a breadboard, flip on a classic design and amazing you have that holy grail guitar - not shred, not classic rock but pure brilliance - a lot like Mr Gilbert himself. Amazing what a bit of talent and thinking differently can do!

God, he has evolved alot since he got that guitar. Maybe not technique-wise but it seems like he became more experimental and creative. Compare Fuzz Universe to his older albums. It contains fusion, jazz, blues, bluesrock and even some hints of surfrock! I love Paul. : )

The thing i like most about his playing, aside from the playing itself, is Paul's facial expressions. He gets so into it, ya know? Its like he's still 16 jamming out by himself. Paul Gilbert will go down in history as one of them most amazing and entertaining guitaists of all time.
