Hi Brent! I really don't believe back in the 1960's that many considered Patti as a "country" singer, per say (even though she had one of the biggest hits in country music history with "Tennessee waltz" in 1951)...but boy, when Patti made it a point to sing country, she sure did do it just as well as any other female artist out at that time, didn't she?....absolutely gorgeous voice, and I so appreciate you posting this "lost" classic of hers that climbed up to #13 on the charts during the blooming flowers of springtime back in 1962 (she was on the charts with this tune exactly 53 years ago this week!)...Hope you're having a terrific week and Take Care! My Mom bought this LP when I was a little girl and I loved the entire album - especially this and "Invitation To the Blues" - I have the LP now but can't listen to it - Thank you sooooooooooo much for this song!
