GRACIAS PATaño 1986, Pat Metheny Group en el pabellon de LA CASILLA ( BILBAO )Solo 200 musicos acuden al concierto y Pat toca para ellos mas de 3 horas y media... Yo estuve alli. Con 3 guitarristas amigos de Gasteiz , Ricardo Urruita , Kepa Oses y Javier Abella, fue algo increible... ( desde entonces le abre visto unas 15 veces si no son mas...)Aquella misma noche le llamaron al Hotel a Pat Metheny, le faltaba titulo a una de sus composiciones para el disco "TRAVELS" que iva a salir ese mismo año...Pat dijo que como se llamaba aquella ciudad donde 200 locos no se movierondepie durante las casi 4 horas... y dedico la canción a esa city.---------Gentileza de mi Amiga Blanca que pudo saberlo de viva voz del propioPat Metheny ... es lo que tiene estar en la organizacion de Festivales.Vaya desde aqui , todo mi aprecio por Pat Metheny, por la vecina ciudad de Bilbaopor mis colegas Guitarristas y por mi amiga Blanca .SALUT

Pat Metheny & Lyle Mays are now two of my most favorite artists of all time and for any musical genre, and I don't necessarily wanna classify anything they do as 'jazz' or whatever people label it, but more a 'personification of musical expression and sonic perfection.I'm so enjoying their musical worlds, the places these tracks take me, especially since just discovering PMG less than a year ago, I still have so much material left to cover, there's so many CD's I still need to buy, I'd never even heard this track until tonight, and like always with Metheny, OMG, I'm blown away!! This one is beautiful!!Pat and Lyle are such amazing musicians, an absolutely underrated pair, it's sad and shocking how many people there are still out there who haven't even heard a single track by these guys!If you ask me, it's fucking crime 'Pat Metheny Group' gets virtually no commercial radio airplay, instead they choose to infuse our airwaves with talentless prepackaged sluts and hoodrats, corporate Bubblegum vaporware by Nicky Minaj or Miley Cyrus, or cold Lil Wayne Gansta Rap, what the fuck is wrong with the world, all that ugly bling juss goes in one ear, out the other, nothing gained, time lost.My ears are blessed to have stumbled into Pat Metheny Group when I did, sadly it wasn't sooner, but better late than never! Through this music, for me, the beauty of sound has been rediscovered and life as I've known it, brightened and re-juvenated, a truly remarkable experience nearly as good as my first kiss, maybe better.
