One of Jack Hylton's earliest electrical recordings for HMV, and what a hot one! I particularly love the slippery clarinet playing here.

Wonderful! The Hylton ensemble at their best. I'm lucky enough to have this version and an E copy too - thank you local boot fair!!

Sorry, typo, B2088 was the earliest, Bobadilla on the flipside, horrible record, stiff as a poker. . B2143/2144, were recorded by by Billy Mayerl.

I always though B2188 was Hylton's earliest electical recording, this one proves I was wrong. Chappie was the most versatile player in Jack's band. He played at least 10 different instruments.

Always great to hear from you - the record looks really pristine here!

But why did he paddle her all the way home? Had she been bad? She probably enjoyed it!

Excellent..Those 1925 recordings of his are usually hot and boisterious..It's not often you get to hear Hylton in the mid 1920s..This is the first time l have heard this version..Seems that Hylton and that clarinet player had been listening to Ted Lewis
