The scenes where Mako was chased through the streets by the Kaiju, were terrifying and downright menacing. It brought through the threat those creatures represent.The marshall rising from the Jaeger cockpit was so awesome and emotional after the horrible Event.One of my absolute favourite scenes.

From the outside, this movie looks like a cheesy robots vs aliens movie directed by Michael  Bay (Bless his heart), but at its core, this movie is a true work of art.  The music, cinematography, graphics, plot, soundtrack, special effects, and symbolism all jive with one another perfectly.  I thoroughly had a fantastic time watching this movie.  It's a shame I didn't see it in theaters.

Awesome scene in the movie where Pentecost arises god-like from the head of a 30 story tall metal war machine as the sun rises behind him sending shafts of golden light through the dust cloud that used to be home. That little girl deserves an oscar for her short but powerful performance.
