"Save Yourself" is part of a free song give away and was release on the bands site in 2015 as part of a exclusive free song sign up. If you signed up for the bands mailing list then you are entitled to a free download of the song.

"Save Yourself was recorded during an intense period in Maui with Bob Rock immediately following the Gravity tour. My memory is a bit foggy from that time period, but a few things stand out:

- Bob was either in the process of finishing or had just finished Metallica's St. Anger and he was enamoured with the process of recording live off the floor. This was quite a departure from the way in which we had recorded Gravity and we were ready for it as we had just come off the road and our chops were up.

- This was early in our creative relationship with Steve and we couldn't have been more excited to start recording.

- We wanted to surprise everyone with a new record, but sometimes the best laid plans get lead astray.

- From time to time bands disagree and fight. If these disagreements revolve around the creative process, then they are worth having.

- It was really hot, even for Maui. This is not a bratty comment, we were privileged to be there, I just hear it and feel it in these demos.

When I listened back to Save Yourself for the first time, I was back in that room, sweating the heat, sweating the freedom of this new recording process. Knowing that we were not going to be precious with the music meant that you had better get it right the first time. I hear our excitement of playing with Steve and in a strange way, I miss that old converted garage up on the hill overlooking the Pacific."
