Been a Doobies fan for a long time. Never seen another band go through this many major personnel changes & still keep going strong. I like all of the versions of this band. You need dynamite musicians who work well together to pull this off. Cornelius was a shinning example of the musicianship of this band.

Cornelius was a great person...great voice excellent sax man,played some organ too..I miss him...these trax rep the Michael Mac side of Doobies...if u added Pat and Toms power gtr to this it would have been awesome...I saw Cornelius w them when Tom and Pat came back...awesome...Great ensemble vocal sounds

I think Ted Templeman's technique relied on the force of the band. To me, within "Minute by minute" there were "musical holes" that were evident to the hardened listener/ musician. Here, you get a blend of seamless music that alows you to sit comfortably, thus enabling you to listen to the album end to end without skipping tracks.

I was in high school when this album debut. I remember that the radio stations often played this song and Real Love constantly. The Doobie's style had changed from it's more rock n' roll roots, but listeners continued to enjoy them.

I'm not the biggest Michael McDonald fan but...why would anyone be afraid to say something negative? If I felt that way, it doesn't take "strength" to criticize an artist. For instance, I can't stand Dave Matthews, REM, and that suck group from Buffalo with the Resnick guy at the helm...Goo Goo Dolls.

I saw The Doobie Brothers on this tour in November 1980 at the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia, SC. This is one of 4 songs that they performed on of this LP. Louisiana's LeRoux opened.
