The opening was kinda like a fuck you to Connery. He left in 68' cause he didn't like how they started changing Fleming's plots. If Connery was in this film, chances are he would have gotten a golden globe or oscar

Best bond theme bar none. One of the best films in the series. Lazenby shudve held on to do a few more. Shame.

This is one of the best Bond movies and Theme Song in the entire series. George Lazenby was a very good Bond. I saw this movie when it first premiered and loved it. To me, the best Bonds were: Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, George Lazenby. I never liked Moore playing Bond (he was to comedic, and the others did not play the role that well). I also think that Lazenby's performance (when his only "true love" Tracy died) showing his emotional hurt--was brilliant. I like Connery playing Bond, but to me--Connery cannot show this kind of emotion (in any movie that he played in). He was always too "macho" and would/could not show this type of emotion. Lazenby should be assured that many people consider his performance to be--well done.
