Exploring the theme of starting over and rebirth, this musical round entitled "Grace" from "The Book of Rounds" is set to photos juxtaposing people in their elder years with the youngest among us.
With music by Emil Adler and lyrics by Julie Flanders, "Grace" is one of 7 musical rounds appearing on "The Book Of Rounds," a unique offering from October Project. Sung by an a cappella choir comprised of members of Yale University's Redhot & Blue (the group that Marina Belica directed while at Yale), the music was arranged and conducted by Keiji Ishiguri, an alumnus of both RH&B and the internationally known Whiffenpoofs.
This round begins with a solo by Mary Kleshefsky (soprano). Singing with her in the choir are Emma Akrawi (soprano), Andrew Bezek (tenor), Keiji Ishiguri (baritone), Spencer Klavan (bass), Hannah LaPalombara (alto) and Tony Valenzuela (tenor). From the recording "The Book of Rounds."
