I didn't say Nile is junk, just on a theoretical/musical level it kind of is (I'd use a different word in retrospect). If you watch the videos of them playing, where they talk about what they're doing, it's pretty tough to watch as a Nile fan (I'm one, just not as much now). It's not technical, that's all, it's classic death metal. It sounds cool, but isn't very deep musically.

Umm except Nile is junk musically. That shit is pretty bad when you realize they are just trem picking nearly-random shit. It's nothing compared to Obscura. I wouldn't even attempt to play these songs live; they're too technical and the guitar parts are overly different from one another. That's not a bad thing, it's just the way it is in technical death metal. Nile sounds "good" live because it's not very technical, despite your delusions.
